In 2023, under the leadership of Regional Director LaShanda Reed-Larry and COE Chair Dionne Williams, the Dallas COE made history — launching the first Jack and Jill debutante presentation in the area, creating a platform to present Jack and Jill young women to society.

The Dallas Center of Excellence — uniting 11 Jack and Jill chapters across the DFW Metroplex in a singular mission of excellence, heritage, and purpose.
The Dallas Center of Excellence (COE) stands as a testament to visionary leadership, collaboration, and the enduring spirit of Jack and Jill excellence. Established under Regional Director Millicent Mitchell (2012–2016), the COE structure was designed to strengthen unity and elevate programming across the South Central Region.
Today, the Dallas COE — comprising 11 distinguished chapters across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex — continues to embody that purpose through collective impact and shared commitment. Together, these chapters have advanced our mission through signature events such as Children's Cluster, Founders' Day, and Jack and Jill Day.

Presented by the 11 chapters of the Dallas Center of Excellence, this program is both selective and significant.
Throughout the season, participants engage in masterclasses, cultural immersions, mentorship experiences, and community service — building toward formal presentation at "A Brilliant Affair."
This is not simply a ball. It is a declaration — that these young women are brilliant, rare, and unbreakable.
Families express interest through their local chapter. Applications are reviewed holistically. Selected applicants are notified and invited to participate.
The cohort convenes for formal orientation, establishing program expectations, sisterhood bonds, and the journey framework for the season ahead.
Structured programming including leadership masterclasses, etiquette training, cultural enrichment, and one-on-one mentorship with accomplished leaders.
Each debutante engages in meaningful community service, reflecting the Jack and Jill mission of service and the values she embodies as a Jewel of North Texas.
The cohort rehearses for the formal presentation, honing choreography, poise, and the graceful confidence befitting the historic occasion.
The culminating black-tie gala — a historic evening of elegance, family, and community — where each debutante is formally presented to society.
Applicants must be active members of Jack and Jill of America within one of the 11 Dallas Center of Excellence chapters. Eligible young women should be between 16–18 years of age and demonstrate academic achievement, community involvement, and commitment to Jack and Jill values.
Yes. The Jewels of North Texas Debutante Program is exclusively presented by the Dallas Center of Excellence, which comprises the 11 Jack and Jill chapters in the DFW metroplex. Membership in one of these chapters is required for participation.
The debutante season spans several months and includes mentorship sessions, masterclasses in etiquette, scholarship, and leadership, cultural immersion experiences, community service projects, and rehearsals for the culminating gala presentation. Participants are expected to attend all scheduled activities.
Each debutante will be formally presented at "A Brilliant Affair" debutante ball. This requires a white formal gown, participation in choreographed presentation routines, and completion of all program requirements throughout the season. Escorts may be required depending on the program format.
Yes. Debutantes are expected to maintain academic excellence and provide transcripts and letters of recommendation as part of the application. The program celebrates scholastic achievement as a core pillar of the debutante experience.
Selection is a competitive and holistic process. The Steering Committee reviews applications based on academic achievement, community service, letters of recommendation, an essay, and an interview. The program is highly selective to maintain the prestige and standards of the experience.
There are program fees associated with participation, which help fund the season activities, mentorship programming, and gala production. Detailed fee information is provided upon application review. Patron sponsorships help offset costs for deserving participants.
